I am not a fan of writer and actor strikes because the people who are sometimes harmed the most are the lowly production assistants and other hard working behind the scenes people who have no money in their bank accounts after about 3 days of unemployment (unless things have changed dramatically since my time in LA).
But when I saw this post about Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog from The Movie Blog and learned that this silly project may not have happened without some free time on Joss Whedon's hands during the last writer's strike I thought, ok, silver lining!
